Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
This policy explains how StockCompass handles data.
1. Data We Handle
The app may store analyzed tickers, watchlists, analysis history, settings, usage credits, purchase status, purchase transaction information, and a randomly generated device identifier to provide app functions, restore purchases, prevent duplicate grants, and prevent abuse. The app does not require your name, address, phone number, email address, or precise location.
2. Purposes
We use this data to display stock analysis, manage history and watchlists, perform AI analysis, manage purchases and usage credits, prevent abuse, respond to inquiries, and improve service reliability.
3. Local and Server Storage
Analysis history, watchlists, and settings are generally stored on your device. Usage credits, the anonymous device identifier, and purchase transaction information are stored on Cloudflare to manage credits, restore purchases, and prevent duplicate grants.
4. AI Data Transmission and Consent
When you run AI analysis, ticker symbols, market prices, chart indicators, news headlines, earnings information, market data, and selected analysis conditions are sent to the Google Gemini API through Cloudflare Workers. This transmission is not intended to include direct identifiers such as your name or contact information.
The app explains this transmission and obtains consent before use. You may withdraw consent at any time from the hand icon at the top of the app. AI analysis is disabled until you consent again.
5. Service Providers
The app may communicate with market-data and news providers, Cloudflare Workers, Google Gemini API, Apple StoreKit, and Apple services. Their handling of information is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We select providers that maintain appropriate safeguards and require data to be used only as necessary to provide the service.
6. In-App Purchases
Payments are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store credit card numbers. Apple-issued transaction information may be sent to Cloudflare Workers and checked with Apple servers to verify purchases and restore entitlements.
7. Advertising and Analytics
The app currently uses no third-party advertising, behavioral advertising, or third-party analytics service. This policy will be updated before such services are introduced.
8. Disclosure
We do not sell collected information. We disclose it only with consent, as required by law, or to the service providers necessary to operate the functions described above.
9. Retention and Deletion
Local history, watchlists, and settings remain until you delete them in the app or remove the app. Anonymous device identifiers, usage-credit records, and purchase records on Cloudflare are retained while the service is provided and for up to five years afterward for purchase restoration, fraud prevention, refunds, inquiries, and legally required recordkeeping, then deleted or irreversibly anonymized unless a longer period is required by law.
To request access to or deletion of server data, use the contact form below. Deleting purchase or restoration records may prevent restoration of unused credits; we will explain the effect and confirm before deletion.
10. Security
We use reasonable safeguards including encrypted transport, server-side API-key storage, Apple server verification of purchases, and access controls to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and misuse.
11. Investment Disclaimer
The app provides information for research support and does not guarantee prices, profits, avoidance of loss, or any investment result. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed.
12. Changes
We may update this policy when functions, service providers, laws, or App Store requirements change. Material changes will be announced in the app or App Store listing.
